Terms of Use
Buckets & Bucks · Last updated 26 August 2026
The short version. Buckets & Bucks is a budgeting tool, not a financial adviser and not a bank. It helps you organise numbers you enter yourself. The decisions, and the money, remain entirely yours.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the Buckets & Bucks mobile app and the web companion at bucketsandbucks.app (together, "the app"), published by Wildman Apps ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
2. What you may do with the app
You may install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal or household budgeting. You may not resell it, rent it out, or redistribute it, and you may not attempt to extract its source code except to the extent applicable law says you may despite this restriction.
3. This is not financial advice
The app performs arithmetic on figures you supply. It does not know your circumstances and it does not give financial, tax, investment, accounting or legal advice. Nothing it displays is a recommendation to spend, save, borrow, or do anything else with your money.
You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for checking anything that matters against your actual bank statements. If you need advice, speak to someone qualified to give it.
4. Your information
What the app stores, and where, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In brief: your budget is kept on your phone, cloud backup is optional, and nothing is sold or shared.
You are responsible for your own backups. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your device. If you have not switched on cloud backup, that data is not recoverable by us or by anyone else.
5. Accounts
An account is optional and is only needed for cloud backup and the web companion. Keep your password to yourself; anyone who can sign in as you can see and change your budget. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
You may delete your account and its cloud data at any time from within the app, or by following the instructions on our account deletion page.
6. Paid features
Some features may be offered as a paid subscription. Where they are, purchases are handled by Google Play under Google's terms — we never see or store your payment details. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you cancel or manage them in Google Play rather than here.
Refunds follow Google Play's policy. Budgeting itself, manual backup, and restoring from a backup are free and are intended to stay that way; a subscription is never required to reach data you have already created.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the app. We try not to break things, but we do not promise the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. Where a change would remove something you rely on, we will try to say so in the release notes.
8. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that its calculations are free of error or that it will meet your requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, nor for lost profits, lost savings, or lost or corrupted data, arising out of your use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of sections 8 and 9 may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending these terms
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you use the app unlawfully or in a way that harms the service or other users.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised version. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to flag it in the app or its release notes.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Nothing here removes any consumer protection you are entitled to under the law of the place where you live.
